You guuuys I feel like I've been gone forever... it's probably been like two days. But see! It's because I sleep at a normal time now! Yaaaay! Now I gotta change the name of my journal.

But uh, everything's been really hectic this week and I'm pretty sure I missed a lot. I'm a little scared to go back and check my flist rn though, so, if I did miss anything important or- no, not even like "important" but just something you'd like me to know or whatever? Tell me :) because I suck at everything.


So, I was watching Scrubs clips on youtube (as you do) and this reminded me of Patrick:

I am so easily distracted from things, writing, drawing, everything. And I have so many fics to finish I should not be contemplating doing a challenge thing right now, right? Only reel_band... 80's movies and TV! I can't not sign up! I will stay focused, I promise. I wanna do an 80's AU *_*

The real problem is, I can't decide which movie. I mean, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters or Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure? ... Or, hey, Overboard. Omg. I NEED AN OVERBOARD AU. PATRICK THE BITCHY RICH BOY THAT FALLS OUT OF HIS BOAT AND GETS AMNESIA. PETE THE DUDE THAT PATRICK WAS AN ASSHOLE TO AND THAT GETS REVENGE BY TRICKING PATRICK INTO THINKING THEY'RE MARRIED AND TAKING CARE OF HIS HOUSE/KID/LIFE. I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE. NEED.

Jsyk, when I ask for fic, you should write it for me, because I will love you forever probably.

Ack! You make me want an Overboard AU! I would write it if A) I wasn't writing a fairy tale already and B) If I didn't think I'd screw it up spectacularly. Maybe if I get done with the fairy tale this week I'll watch the movie again and start writing, find that I won't be able to pull it off then shove it in a corner. Or something.

Haha, I dunno. I've never tried movie/tv/book AU's before. Only like, "I want them in this situation, so they shall be even though it is canon-ly impossible" AU's. And idrk if I can without slapping myself about fifty times, rewriting it sixty-two times and trying to stab my eyes out at least twice until I say, "fuck it, it's good enough." Yeah, I have a love/hate/LOVE/whatthehellamidoing/omgican'tstop/yay! relationship with writing.

Yeah, I dunno. I might practice some AU's sometime in the not-so-near future.

I've gotten to the point where I recast every movie I watch with bandom people ._. uuh, it becomes force of habit... sorta. You should do a movie AU! They're fun and that way I can read your awesome, the product of your slightly bipolar relationship with writing :D (don't worry, we all have it)

Haha, Tasha and I started to rewrite Lord of the Rings with bandom people a while ago. Right now we are (on and off) writing a very, very silly un-slashy version of it, but we intend to go back and make it more serious and slash-ify it. Maybe I can nag her so we can finish it.

Or I can write my own AU. I'd have to think of a good one though. WOW, for some reason I just thought of Iron Man. Hmm...

Seriously, though, Pete makes a very good Frodo and Patrick is an adorable Sam. ^_^

You may have missed this, although you may just be ignoring it...

OH MY GOD. SCRUBS. SCRUBS. I LOVE THAT SHOW. I remember watching that episode and then flipping out at my mom about it because it was so funny! And then oh my god Patriiiiiiick. That idea just broke my brain I'll have you know. ;_____; Like, Patrick's all innocent when he shows up, and there are all of these really tough looking guys in there (like there's this one guy named Bert, and this other guy named Quinn, and this one dude named Jepha who doesn't actually look really all that threatening but he has tattoos, and then there's this dude named Dan, who kind of looks like a frog, but like the scariest frog in the world. The frog that will fuck you up and assrape you until you die.)
And then there's this dude named Bob, who's kind of big and kind of surly, but tells Bert to get off the bench so Patrick can sit down before he faints - he's been arrested, he's in jail, his bail is something crazy, he's seriously going to faint - and then when Bert doesn't move, Bob just picks him up and moves him and then glares at Patrick until he sits down.
After that it gets a little easier. He's part of 'the gang' now, he guesses, that's maybe why. Bob looks after him, sorta. Patrick ends up having to stay overnight, and in the morning, when the guard comes and passes out the shitty coffee and the stale bagels, Bob makes sure no one tries to slap Patrick's cup out of his hands or bully him out of drinking it. It's kind of...kind of sweet. Patrick smiles at him and makes sure to force down the entire cup and shares half his bagel with Bob. Bob gets kind of pink across the cheeks and Patrick wonders if he did something wrong until he hears Bert and Quinn laughing and Jepha comes over to give Bob this knowing smile and a pat on the back.
Pete comes and gets him later that day, flinging himself at Patrick and clinging like a monkey and touting off how his poor darling sweetie Patrick had to stay locked up with thugs all night. Patrick looks up just in time to see Bob look away, and Patrick pries Pete off of him and gives him a really sad face and is all like, "Take me home now, please." And Pete does.
"So," Pete says when they're in the car, driving back to Patrick's apartment. "How was prison?"
Patrick thinks back on it and shrugs. "It was alright."
"Make any friends?" Pete says jokingly. Patrick just shrugs again.

Or something.

I will not refute the idea of you doing a challenge thing, because if you do that challenge thing it may result in a Bill&Ted's AU. And that would be awesome. *thumbsup at that idea* And I have never heard of Overboard before, but then again I AM a failure at pop culture. Although just from that premise an AU of it would also be amazing. *_________*
