Now, in completely unrelated to the fannish news. I know I haven't posted in a while, and I know I've missed my window on National Coming Out Day by a mile but I've been thinking about it a lot, on and off for the past few months and it's like. It wouldn't really matter or change anything, would it. I mean, I've been me and you guys have been you and what would be the difference if I just clarified it a little?
What would it change if you knew that when I used to post about Jordan I was talking about a girl? I used to be so careful about it, trying to be vague when I referred to her and skirting around referring to Jordan as her or him. Because that way I wasn't lying. Not really.
And after a while I knew it wouldn't matter to you, but I kept doing it. I just got used to being careful, around my family, my friends, my best friend. And even Jordan, who's been out of my life for so long it shouldn't matter, but sometimes it does.
I don't know if that will ever change with them, but I don't want to have to be careful around you.
So. I'm not big on labelling myself, I just. Love who I love. I'm attracted to who I'm attracted to, whether they're a girl, guy or whoever.
I know it's pointless, maybe you guessed or it was obvious or you never cared either way, but. It's for my own peace of mind that I tell you. Because even if the people in my life never know this part of me, someone will, you will, and that means the world to me.
I'm truly thankful that I have you guys ♥
