Notes:
This one was so much fun! Editing wise and song wise. I wasn't sure what kind of plot I could give these two at first, I knew I wanted it to be a Frank/Gerard centric vid but the song helped me come up with this idea of them. I'm really pleased with how it turned out :)

Some of the quality of the clips aren't so great, but that's the internet for ya. I hope it works for everyone, anyway!

This vid is stunning! I rarely see good bandom fanvids, so I'm happy I stumbled across this one on the Bitchin' Party vidshow list. You really made the footage work, even with the lower quality clips, and I love your editing style. May I ask what software you use? I've been meaning to learn how to make vids but don't really know where to start.

And I'm just going to... rewatch this a few more times, mhm. :D

Aw, thank you very much! I use sony vegas, it has a pretty straightforward interface and if you want to get into vidding it's a great program to start with :)

Ooh, ok thanks! I looked them up and they have a variety of different versions (I'm looking at this page for reference http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegassoftware). Are you using Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11? That seems sort of in my price range, since I'd be using it for other things as well, hmm.

Hi!

I'm putting together a vidshow this year for Vividcon (http://www.vividcon.com and vividcon, a great vidding con run by vidders and vidding fans held in Chicago since 2001) and I've chosen your vid to be part of it.

Not sure if you've ever heard of/been to Vividcon, but vidshows are basically like going to see a 45 minutes movie in a theater-style room with a projection screen - if the movie was a selection of a dozen vids playing on the same theme. The theme of my vidshow is "Let's Put on a Show" and it explores vids about theaters, musicals, the stage, behind the scenes, etc. I wanted to make sure I represented bandom vids in this lineup (since there are quite a bit of bandom fans that attend Vividcon) and I've chosen your vid to be that one. I love everything about it and I think the Vividcon attendees need to see it.

I can use the files that are online, but bigger (higher quality) files are better if they are available. We use m2v + wav combos to show the vids, which can be made from avi files easily using a free program designed by absolutedestiny for the con.

I can do the file conversion and uploading to the VVC server for you if you have a larger version of the vid, or explain in more details how to do it if you'd rather do it yourself. I can also give you more info about the con (trying to give you a bunch of details about it since I can see it's not in your comms, so I'm not sure you've heard of it).

Oh, I'm happy you chose my vid, thank you! The theme sounds excellent, I've heard a little about vividcon before, but didn't know much about it. It sounds great and I'm flattered my vid was chosen!

This vid rendered in quite a low quality for me as I was having issues with my software at the time and accidentally wiped the project file so I don't see much chance of getting it in a higher quality, I'm afraid, but I'll see what I can do to improve it and let you know :)

Even so, feel free to use the online files, I'd be happy to have my vid as part of the con

I've re-rendered the file and come up with a 1280x552 version, and I've uploaded it in AVI format here 116 mb, there are downloads available on vimeo here (password metoyou), but I'll be making other mirrors that I'll add to the post.
